Charleston Radiologists, PA Welcomes Four New Radiologists

Charleston Radiologists welcomes Dr. Nicolas Mazal, Dr. Brian Mahon, Dr. James Ravenel, and Dr. Young Song.  Each doctor with different backgrounds in radiology will bring experience in Vascular and Interventional Radiology, Breast Imaging, Thoracic Imaging, and Diagnostic Radiology, respectively.

Dr. Nicolas Mazal joined Charleston Radiologists, PA in August 2018 and has an extensive background in Vascular and Interventional Radiology. He earned his degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in Houston, Texas. He completed an internship at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Dr. Mazal then went on to complete his residency at McGovern Medical School and finally his fellowship here at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Dr. Brian Mahon has recently joined Charleston Radiologists, PA. He has a background in Breast Imaging and Radiology and earned his degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine. He completed an internship at the University of Virginia Health Systems Hospital in general surgery.  Dr. Mahon then went on to complete his residency at Rochester General Hospital in Diagnostic Radiology and finally his fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch Hospital in Breast Imaging.

Dr. James Ravenel with more than 20 years’ experience joined Charleston Radiologists, PA. He has a background in Diagnostic Radiology and Thoracic Imaging. He earned his degree from the Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC. He completed an internship at the University of California – Davis, School of Medicine in surgery.  Dr. Ravenel then went on to complete his residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse NY in Diagnostic Radiology and finally his fellowship at Duke University Medical Center in Thoracic Imaging.

Dr. Young S. Song, a diagnostic radiologist, recently joined Charleston Radiologists, PA. He brings with him more than 20 + years’ experience. He has a background in Diagnostic Radiology and earned his degree from the UMDNJ – Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine at UMDNJ – Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital / St. Peter’s Medical Center in New Brunswick, NJ. Dr. Song then went on to complete his residency here at the Medical University of South Carolina where he studied Diagnostic Radiology.
