Aron Rosenthal, MD

Aron D. Rosenthal, MD, MPH, is a radiologist at Charleston Radiologists, PA. He joined the practice in 2010.

Prior to Charleston Radiologists, Dr. Rosenthal completed his magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) fellowship at the University of California San Diego (UCSD) including neurological, musculoskeletal and breast imaging. He was a lead developer in UCSD’s first teleradiology practice where he led the formation of an integrated PACS and transcription service, reading room and site design, website development, and marketing. Dr. Rosenthal completed his internship at Christiana Care Hospital in Newark, DE.

 Dr. Rosenthal earned his Doctor of Medicine at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine; his Master of Public Health at Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health where he graduated salutatorian; and his Bachelor of Science in biology with a minor in chemistry at Vanderbilt University.

Dr. Rosenthal holds an American Board of Radiology Certification and medical licenses to practice in South Carolina, North Carolina, and California.

 He is a member of the American College of Radiology and the Radiological Society of North America. Dr. Rosenthal is an accomplished researcher and presenter with work published in the International Journal of Obesity and Related Metabolic Disorders: Journal of the International Association for the Study of Obesity and Contraception.


Dr. Rosenthal was inducted into Delta Omega, the national honorary society for graduate studies in public health, in 2010. He was presented the John Amberg Award for Clinical Excellence in 2009 by UCSD Department of Radiology faculty and alumni to recognize his outstanding clinical performance in radiology. Additionally, Dr. Rosenthal received a Certificate of Merit Award at the Radiology Society of North America 2007 Annual Meeting for his educational exhibit, “The Petrous Apex: A Pyramid of Pathology.”
